Tyrants are Luke Yeomans, Aidan Betts and Mark Pinion. A harsh, in your face, octave pedal driven 3-piece Indie Rock ‘n’ Roll band based in Lincoln, taking influence’s from Foo Fighters to Arctic Monkeys. These three guys are ready to make their mark.

Tell me a bit about your band?

Tyrants are a three piece Indie style band from Lincoln, 2 guitars, drums and vocals!

Who are your major influences?

Lots of influences really, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, Catfish & the Bottlemen & Libertines.

How long have you all known each other? How did you meet?

We met as a band at Access to Music in Lincoln in February 2015 although Aidan and Mark knew each other before but didn’t really get on very well!

Where have you performed?

Played in Manchester, York, Sheffield, Lincoln, Grimsby, Nottingham and Scunthorpe.

What are your favorite venues?

We always have a blast at The Spread eagle in York and The Lincoln Imp in Scunny and the RS Bar in Sheffield is a wicked venue.

Who writes your songs?

Aidan writes the lyrics and then we jam them into a tune

What are the main themes or topics for most of your songs?

Love plays a big part but don’t expect soppy love ballads!

What has been your biggest challenge as a band?

We lost our bass player in the early stages of the band Have you been able to overcome that challenge? If so, how? After asking round for a replacement we decided it would be easier to carry on without a dedicated bass player and use an octave pedal instead!

What advice do you have for people who want to form their own bands?

Just go for it!

Do you have any upcoming shows?

17th March Jolly Brewer Lincoln, 18th March BBC live session, 25th March 2pm The Big One Newark Festival, 25th March Darmons Sleaford AWF, 1st April Sine FM Doncaster, Live session 2nd May Barge in Sleaford 2pm-ish, 14th May Mayfest Lincoln Imp, 20th May Leopard Doncaster, 21st May The Fleece Northallerton, 22nd May VW Show Peterborough, 29th May Jolly Brewer Lincoln, 10/11/12 June Mudfest, 17th June The Fiddler Cleethorpes, 1-4 July Shanti Fest Coningsby date TBC, 13th August Lincoln Oxjam
