With those golden tickets in our back pockets, many of us from Northern Exposure are all set for this Saturday’s This Feeling Big in 2018 Tour’s opening gig. Today we spoke to JUDAS about their upcoming performance and what they hope the next year will bring. JUDAS are a four-piece indie rock band based in London. Their sound is most commonly compared to a combination of U2 and Kings of Leon: anthemic indie with huge sounds and timeless melodies. They are sure to storm the stage this weekend!

Hello guys! So this will be This Feeling’s first gig of 2018. How excited are you to be performing?!

I know – first show of the year! Always exciting, especially to be in the line-up with so many amazing bands. This Feeling shows are always incredible fun and Mikey knows how to put on a night. We’re buzzin’.

The line up is incredible for Saturday – everyone is trying to get there! Have you played Nambucca or Camden before?

When we first started out, we played Camden what felt like every night. Now we put a little more planning into our shows, so London shows are spaced out to just three or four a year, so it’s always great to play and it’s our hometown. We’ve played Nambucca a couple of times, it’s a top venue with a great sound. We watched Sundara Karma play there for This Feeling TV and they were incredible.

JUDAS have had such a brilliant year with release of Ceasefire and many gigs and festivals under your belt. On reflection, what was your best bit of 2017?

Ohhh … so many great memories from 2017. It has to be opening the main stage at both Reading and Leeds though. That was special. We’d known for months that we were playing the opening slot and we’d never rehearsed so much in our lives. But when it came to the day we just had so much fun and loved the experience.

Do you have any new year resolutions for you personally and for the band?

No resolutions just the ambition to do everything bigger and better this year. We’re back in the studio next week to record some insane new songs which will hopefully push us a few more rungs up the ladder.

How’s 2018 looking for you so far?

It’s looking super promising. We have some of our best songs yet to release this year and we cannot wait for the world to hear them. After that, we’ll be looking to get back out on the road to play them to our beautiful fans!

Thank you so much guys – we look forward to hearing those stadium sounds on Saturday!

Nambucca #BigIn2018 is now sold out….
