In preparation for This Feeling’s Big in 2018 at Nambucca this weekend, we have another 60-second interview today with Lawrence from the amazing Sheafs, a homegrown Sheffield band. We spoke to Lawrence about how 2018 is shaping up for Sheafs so far.
You are playing at This Feeling’s first gig of 2018 – how excited are you?!
Extremely. It is mad to think we played our first ever This Feeling gig in November 2016 and now to be apart of ‘This Feeling’s Big in 2018’ line up is surreal. Huge respect to Mikey Jonns for backing us, he’s nothing short of an icon to modern guitar music.
Have you played Nambucca or Camden before?
Once before, alongside the Himalayas and The America’s lads. It was a mad night then so we are hoping for carnage this Saturday.
On reflection, what was your best bit of 2017?
Collectively, having the chance to play all the festivals we did was unreal. To single a moment out, it would hand’s down be when we filled in last minute at YNot? Festival Quarry stage. It was pissing it down so the tent was packed full, the crowd went from throwing cans to mosh pitting, it was a big moment for us.
Do you have any new year resolutions for you personally and for the band?
For me to drink less Buckfast. For the band; to hit as many festivals and gigs as we can, with the hope to spread our name.
How’s 2018 looking for you so far?
It is shaping up well for us. We are excited to announce our debut headline tour in association with Gigs & Tours, Live Nation, DHP and This Feeling. We’re also hoping to drop a new single soon…
Thank you for your time, Lawrence and we’ll see you on Saturday!
