Continuing from the beautiful ballad ‘Valley One’ recorded in isolation, The K’s are set to release the huge, anthemic new single ‘TV’ on the 25th of September.

Furthering the band’s innate talent for writing perfect, indie punk music and bringing it right up to date, the energetic new single “TV” is a feel good, get to your feet and jump around kind of track. Influenced by TV culture and growing up in a time when so much information is fed to us via TV and the media, singer Jamie said of the track:

“I wrote TV probably the back end of last year. It’s about the way we are sold a completely blurred version of reality through the TV. They show us these “perfect” lives of celebrities and try and portray it as real life. But when you’re younger you tend to believe it and believe that’s the life that you should aim for. As you get older though you start to realise it’s all bollocks though.”

This record packs a massive punch of euphoric, anthemic song writing, laced with The K’s signature hook-filled choruses ‘TV’ looks set to catapult The K’s even further to the top.

Following a breakthrough 2019 for the band have been studiously working since the turn of the year and throughout lockdown on a host of new material, lockdown live sessions, partnerships and endorsements including scotts Menswear, This Feeling, Gibson Guitars and Marshall Amps.

They also cameo in new film ‘To Be Someone,’ a British film loosely related to the 1979 movie, Quadrophenia. The film is directed by Ray Burdis and written by Pete Meadows. Their hit single ‘Sarajevo’ is also part of the soundtrack.
