Four-piece band The Now are from South Wales and have only been playing together since 2018. Having made a huge impression already on the music scene with their big, highly infectious, guitar-heavy tracks, they are set to release their first single “Holy” on the 22nd of February which is off their debut EP, “The Truth Always Comes Out In The End”. It will then be followed by a music video, which excitedly got finished yesterday with creative superstar MagnoliaLux.
“Me and the boys are super excited about the release of the new single from our debut E.P (The Truth always comes out in the end). We wrapped the music video yesterday and it’s so different to anything else we have ever done. Magnolialux are super professional and the video is going to bring that extra character to the song for sure!”
About The Now…
The Now are one of the most exciting bands on the UK circuit, it’s their mixture of tone and vocals that make it easy to identify the band and is what sets The Now apart. This band has the ability to connect with each other and tap into their musical chemistry to create melodies that will captivate you. Chuck Berry and The Police to Kasabian and Catfish and the Bottlemen are credited when it comes to inspiring the band, but these are merely influences and should not be confused with how their music sounds. Vocal influences include Kelly Jones and Ryan ‘’Van’’ McCann.
Jason Perry (McFly, Busted, Don Broco, The Blackout), Adam Noble (Coldplay, Biffy Clyro, Liam Gallagher) and Richard Jackson (The Automatic, Super Furry Animals, Duffy) are some of the legendary producers The Now have worked with already. In addition, the single ‘Dr Jones‘ has been featured on BBC Radio 2 – The Rock Show “Johnnie Walker” as well as many times on Planet Rock, with Wyatt showcasing the track on “The New Rock Show”. The BBC contacted them shortly after the release of “Friendly Fire” in order to air it on the station with Wales presenter Adam Walton.
In September 2021, global label Golden Robot Records signed The Now to their first independent recording contract; giving The Now the boost they needed to reach the top.
