Savannah the relentlessly hard working old school rock & roll revolutionaries have released their new indie rock anthem “Cold Heart” on March 16th with another classic Savannah video. “Cold Heart” is a 3 minute pop rock singalong, with bellowing chorus’s, swift harmonies softened by streamlined guitars and a pounding bass riff supported by chaotic drums. All formed by their unique sound, influenced & shaped by the 60s rock masters and Brit pop forerunners. Produced by Gazz Rogers, the man in the chair and written by the band, the track is taking an identity of its own with its different music video…. This time for the video the lovable Dawley lads will be behind bars at The Dana Prison Shrewsbury for crimes inspiring the masses to revolt against an oppressive society through musical influence.
The “Cold Hearted” warden of the prison is at the centre of the plot and punishes these unlikely & wrongfully charged inmates. The Dana is one of the most iconic & controversial buildings in Shrewsbury dating back to medieval times. The prison in its current form was in operation from 1793 right up until 2013 and since its closure as an official prison has been home to Immersive Events & Jailhouse Tours who run tours, interactive events & private hire the prison.
Following on from a busy year in 2017 Savannah’s first release of 2018 “Cold Heart” will be another great record after the success of “Taxing Times” & the EP Here & Now. Both releases helped shape the bands style & sound into a more assertive but pop confirmative timbre. 2018 already sees Savannah on the bill at many dates across the country along with festival slots at Farmer Phil’s & headlining Telfords Branches in the Park. They have many ambitious plans to continue spreading their name and music across land to inspire people wherever they go, taking their Dawley phase #eyupjockey with them.
