Fans cast over 35,000 votes in support of UK’s best new emerging as Pirate Studios’ groundbreaking Prodigy Programme moves to the final phase. Backed by influential chart hit-makers Kate Nash, Jon McClure and the teams behind Liam Gallagher, Charli XCX, The Libertines. In just 14 days, thousands of fans have helped the U.K’s best new music talent power through the Pirate Studios Prodigy Programme to discover the UK’s top emerging acts. 10 bands were selected by public vote and music industry judges from 2000 entries.
The UK’s best new emerging acts have made it through to the final round for their chance to win everything they need to break in 2018.

Naropa – progressive alt-indie London quintet
Novatines – Bold, brash, inventive and explosive Bath rock band
Red Rum Club – Burgeoning Merseyside “Tarantino-esque” sextet
Shambolics – Psychedelic, dreamy rock n roll from Scotland
The Seamonsters – Summertime in music form from Sheffield all girl sextet
The Surrenders – Brummy electric rhythm blues and soul band
Violet Youth – Deep, atmospheric and anthemic indie from Blackburn
Youth Killed It – Bolshy, free-flowing Norwich indie-punk 5-piece
Yves – Storming Swindon indie-rock 3 piece
Pirate Prodigy Programme
An incredible 2000 acts applied from across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland with the help of expert industry judges mentors and partners. Now the top 10 acts are in Pirate’s London studios, creating a high quality live performance video.

The Prize
The winning acts will receive one-to-one mentoring and masterclasses that cover every aspect needed to help launch a career. These artists will be given EVERYTHING they need to take their career to the next level.
Monday 30th April – Wednesday 16th May: The 10 finalists’ video performances will be judged by both the public and industry experts. The public will decide one act and the judges will pick two.
Friday 18th May: The three winning acts are announced.
