This Feeling have provided a hoard of shit-hot gig line ups across the country including the artists they challenge to be #BigIn2018.
Alternative rock n roll four piece with a punk-esque twist, The Velvet Hands, deriving from London/Cornwall, will be gracing the This Feeling stage on their first national tour with Himalayas. Truro is the first date on their calendar and it’s set to be an unruly event not to be missed. Their latest track ‘Only Blame Myself’ featured as This Feeling’s track of the week on Radio X ahead of the release of their debut album ‘Party’s Over’ on 21st April.
I think these boys have that spot on, brace yourselves as This Feeling unleash the wrath of artists tipped for being #Bigin2018.
Himalayas will be joining The Velvet Hands as they both commence their national tour – these boys combine indie-rock with their effortless Welsh charm. Alongside featuring as Radio X’s Track of The Week recently, with their single ‘Thank God I’m Not You’, these four have announced their forthcoming appearance at SXSW Festival in Austin Texas in March 2018.
The guys from Himalayas – Joseph on vocals and rhythm guitar, Mike on lead guitar and backing vocals, Louis on bass and James on drums – told me, ‘This Feeling took a chance on us last year and gave us opportunities we never thought we’d get so soon. It’s an honour to be one of their #BigIn2018 acts and we can’t wait to see what this year has for us.’
They aren’t the only ones excited!
The third act on this bill are The Rezner. Truro being their home-town increases the excitement surrounding one of the first #BigIn2018 line-ups – these four are an elusive combination of alternative and indie-rock. 2017 saw the anticipated release of their three most recent singles: ‘Cruel & Kind’, ‘Unknown’ and ‘Words for Reasons’ – all three receiving attention from BBC Introducing. Not only have The Rezner received radio attention, they have also appeared at various festivals including the infamous Boardmasters 2017. Quite the achievement and easy to see why these guys have earned their spot within This Feeling’s #BigIn2018 line-up.
Sam from The Rezner let us into a little secret- these guys have been big fans of This Feeling since ‘This Feeling TV’ started last year. ‘We’re over the moon to finally be a part of one of their shows – it’s where the heart of rock n roll is at.’
As one of the first gigs within the #BigIn2018 line-up, This Feeling are not holding anything back! Unleashing this talent across the country radiates excitement throughout the artists included within #BigIn2018 and stems anticipation within all music fans.
The privilege is all ours.
