A selection of some of the bands on our promotion packages, we take a look at how they’ve been getting on and what they’ve been up to this past month.

THE MOJO FILTERS

One of the most exciting Birmingham based bands, The Mojo Filters have been non-stop as usual, rehearsing and preparing a weekend with Gavin Monaghan recording at Magic Garden Studios. We can look forward to a release by the end of March.

THE ATTIC DOCTORS

The Attic Doctors are a very hardworking band and are always working on new material. They are currently working on more new stuff to take into the studio with one song shaping up to be something completely new and different for them. They’ve just had two masters back from White Bear Studios which are set to be their next two singles, to be released some time before summer. They’ll be working on videos and cover art etc over the coming months for those.

They just played their first gig at a packed out Jimmy’s in the northern quarter of Manchester a few weeks ago supporting Scuttlers as they launched their debut EP. They’ve also got a huge string of live dates coming up.

They played Paris at Le Truskel for Pretty Malina Presents where the crowd demanded an encore and received rave reviews from our French friends.

BUGEYE

Bugeye have been working hard writing and recording new tracks while continuing with their year long tour around the UK and beyond. They decided to embark on a year long tour and that is currently in full swing with a Sheffield gig on 21st March that we at Northern Exposure are very excited about. Always good to catch someone on our home turf!

Bugeye have been busy in the rehearsal room getting ready to return to the studio at the end of March to record with indie legend, producer Paul Tipler. He is known for working with acts such as Leatherface, Kingmaker, Midway Still and Pop Will Eat Itself in 1990 through Elastica, Dr Feelgood, Placebo, House of Love and many more. The next two decades many artists benefited from the working with Paul including The Wonder Stuff and many world fusion artists such as Jah Wobble, Fun-Da-Mental and Talvin Singh.

Bugeye’s new single ‘I’m Not The One’ is released on the 13th April.  Julia Woollams has produced the wonderful cover artwork below.

Bugeye have just been confirmed for Bang On Fest in Berlin this coming April which will be the band’s first adventure in live music abroad. Also added to the tour schedule for 2018 is Camden Rocks and Tramlines Fringe Festival.
