Northern Exposure is pleased to announce that ‘The Lightning
Seed’s will play this years Mosborough Music Festival!
The group experienced commercial success throughout the 1990’s and are well known for their single “Three Lions”, a collaboration with David Baddiel and Frank Skinner which reached No. 1 in the UK in 1996 and 1998, but there is so much more to the band than just that famous release. The singles and albums the band have produced since 1989 are quite simply the finest pop ever produced. They are a beautiful combination between pop dance and melodic harmony.

‘The peoples festival with a heart’
Steven Cowen (Organiser and founder)
The Mosborough Music Festival is one of the best, well organised festivals in and around Sheffield. The festival began its life as a fundraiser for a close friend who sadly committed suicide in 2010, friends held a charity fundraising day at Mosborough Miners Welfare Club in his memory and decided to do one every year and it grew from there.
Every year they never fail to provide a top quality line up and this year is no exception. Moving to Don Valley Bowl, the regions finest open air site, the festival is growing in size and stature, after spending the past five years at Mosborough. Over the years the festival has raised thousands of pounds for charity. They are hoping to do the same this year for Roundabout Homeless Charity and Help The Heroes.
One thing about this festival is it is always fair priced, I attended last year and was pleasantly surprised by the bar. Investigating further, I discovered that the festival ensure and make a point that no one gets ripped off with extortionate beer and food prices.
Now that to me is a real festival. Its all about the music.
At only £40 for the full weekend or £20 for the day, you would be a fool to miss this.
