The news we’ve all been patiently anticipating has finally arrived, the austerity of covid restrictions being lifted are only a short throw away and what was a faded memory of having a normal summer is all now looking to becoming a reality.

Upon the announcement from number 10 earlier this week publishing the current road map out of lockdown and banishing all public restrictions by the 21st of June, the festival giants twin pair Reading and Leeds have announced that the dynamic duo is planned to go ahead this year. The twin events will run from the 27th-29th of August with a star studded identical line up plays on alternate days.

Bosses are yet to confirm detailed plans, or whether contingency plans regarding social distancing or reduced crowd will take place however this is still a huge step towards recovering the industry we all love.

For the first time in the festivals history ,organisers have announced there will be 6 headline acts spilt across two main stages with the promise of NO CLASHES. Headliners come from Stormzy, Post Malone, Liam Gallagher, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Queens of the Stone Age and Disclosure.

Liam Gallagher has already joined us and thousands more people on Twitter expressing his gratitude and excitement by tweeting…

“READING n LEEDS C’mon you fuckers LG x”
