Compared to the likes of The Big Moon, Jade Bird, Fleetwood Mac and The Beautiful South you’re going to love the beautifully crafted new release ‘Television Mister’ from Jessica Luise.  Following on from her indie/folk last offering ‘Better Place’ which received several plays on BBC Merseyside and was played in every Co-op store in the country on Co-Op Radio. ‘Television Mister’ was written in lockdown and tells the story of falling in love with an on-screen character and eventually finding someone with those attributes in real life.

”Imagine if a guy like you could really exist, instead of boys who cannot fill the shoes of men made out of scripts”  Jessica sings, commenting on how people can’t always live up to the high standards of love that are portrayed through film and television.

Since exploding onto the scene just over a year ago, Jessica’s previous offerings have had a more ambient, indie-folk vibe whereas with the first addition of a full band ‘Television Mister’ exhibits a more melodic and heavier indie-rock sound.

Packed with injections of lightness and fun, Jessica has successfully traversed her different styles and sounds with this single. It’s a soul nourishing and upbeat offering, with an easy charm that shines throughout.

An insanely talented vocalist, who can’t be ignored, ‘Television Mister’ is definitely a catchy track and Jessica girl to watch if you like melodic, indie rock.
