Episode Four Of Red Stripe Presents: This Feeling TV

Its always an honour and a pleasure to be invited down to This Feeling TV with Red Stripe and, as usual, they have pulled out all the stops to deliver electrifying sets and hilarious interviews with a number of indie breakthrough acts. You’d think that the meeting of music and TV would seem a no brainer, although of late, very few have managed to succeed at combining the two. Well, thankfully those days are firmly behind us and Red Stripe and This Feeling are delivering exactly what music TV is missing.

On the show, Yonaka perform a mesmerising set. They are one band that really stood out at TRNSMT earlier this year and are currently gaining masses of well deserved attention with their new single ‘Bubble Gum’.  Scottish star Gerry Cinnamon also performs and talks to Gordon Smart about selling out two Barrowlands shows in five minutes. Gerry hit the headlines when he reached number five in the UK album chart, ahead of Ed Sheeran, topping the iTunes singer-songwriter chart.

Headlining the show are Top 10 album stars The Sherlocks who also discuss with Gordon meeting Liam Gallagher and supporting him on his 2018 European Tour.

“The past year has been massive for us as we’ve been constantly touring. Next year will be even bigger as we’re supporting Liam Gallagher on his European Tour. We first met him at Leeds before he went on stage. He’s a funny guy – he made us all laugh… He must have thought we were half-decent as well as we’re off on tour with him now!”

The lovable daytime telly queen Holly Willoughby also features, discussing her love of The Streets and Stone Roses. Showing Gordon how to pull a proper pint, Holly talks about her pink hip flask appearing on stage with Mani and her friendship with co-host Philip Schofield. Full of charisma, the show – brought to you by Radio X’s Gordon Smart – features all the best new music and successfully balances humour and passion that music shows have been crying out for.
