Pirate Studios’ inaugural artists promotion competition attracted over 2000 entries in just one month, making it the largest music talent development programme of its kind in year one.
There is some great northern talent in there; artists including James Holt, Proletariat, Rival Bones, Red Rum Club and Violet Youth. Competition has been incredibly fierce and there can only be three winners but the incredible prize has made this a much sought-after win.
A panel of industry mentors and judges will develop the careers of the three lucky winners within a supportive promotion programme: the winning artists will receive one-to-one mentoring and masterclasses in launching a music career from A&R to management, from PR to songwriting. Pirate Studios will also provide unlimited free use of their “impressive and innovative rehearsal facilities” (Clash Magazine), studio time with professional engineers whose credits include Florence and The Machine, Wolf Alice and Fun Lovin’ Criminals, free video production, expert branding and marketing advice as well as promotion across Pirate Studios’ extensive and growing social media channels. The winners will secure festival slots as well as a guaranteed audience with top-level industry A&R at three invite only shows taking place across the UK in the summer. In short, these artists will be given everything they need to take their career to the next level.
Only 30 artists now remain, from over 2000 applications. Voting is now live for the final 30 artists, please click on the photo below. They have had over 40k votes in the first three days which is amazing.
Have your say on who progresses to the next round of the Pirate Prodigies Programme, voting on your favourite 3 acts. The winners will be given everything they need to break in 2018. For more info on the prizes, head here…
Voting closes on Friday 20th April.
