Dirty Laces are set to make their mark on the Sheffield music scene next Friday supporting the brilliant Calva Louise with Floodhounds and The Superlatives next Thursday. Tickets are available here…

Dirty Laces are Charlie Jordan (vocals), Tom Edwards (bass),  Luke Dec + Jacob Simpson (guitars) and James Ashworth on drums. New to the scene the band wasted no time in ambitiously kicking of the bands assault on Manchester with a sold out headline gig at Gullivers NQ in August  2007. They have played Manchesters most popular underground venues such as The Ruby Lounge, Night & Day Cafe and two sold out Shows at Jimmy’s Northern Quarter.

The band takes inspiration from various artists and strive to achieve the rhythmic energy of Punk bands such as The Jam with Zeppelin inspired riffs articulated by a modern a vocal swagger and lyrical melodies inspired by the 90’s Northern powerhouses.

The next step for Dirty Laces was to embark on the recording The Modern Age EP which was released on 12” vinyl release at their sold out headline launch at The Peer Hat back in February. The EP catches the ferocious live energy of the band along with usual infectious riffs and tight vocal melodies and is a step up for the band as recording artists harvesting their potential giving light to what the Dirty Laces currently have to offer to the Manchester music scene and the limitless possibilities ahead of them.
