THE LEOPARD – DONCASTER
The Leopard is situated in Doncaster’s town centre, within walking distance of the train station which is perfect for those later band slots. Although small in capacity it has hosted some of the biggest artists, in a variety of genres including Kasabian, Snow Patrol and Plan B. More recently it’s hosted bands such as Doncaster’s own Bang Bang Romeo and The Blinders who played some of their first shows at the 200-cap venue, before their rise to fame and releasing their debut albums.
The pub and the live venue also offer a range of drinks including cask ales, niche larger and draught beers, as well as live sport.

THE BRUNDENELL SOCIAL CLUB – LEEDS
Located in the L6 area of Leeds, this quirky bar has held some of the biggest names in the Indie scene including secret gigs for Franz Ferdinand and The Kaiser Chiefs as well as acting as one of the participating venues for the Live at Leeds Festival. It’s quirky 50’s interior makes it stand out from your average gig venue. The social club has been running since 1913 and the 400-cap venue stays strong today, run by the members for the members in a non-profit, charitable fashion.
The club offers a range of local and world cask ales as well as all the larger brands of beverage, as well as offering darts, pool and snooker as well as live sport.

THE PICTURE HOUSE SOCIAL CLUB – SHEFFIELD
Some would say it’s a bit of a hidden gem, but definitely worth it once found. In the S7 area of Sheffield. Located in what was formally the 1920’s Abbeydale Picture House, in the old Ballroom and Billiards Room. Hosting some of the biggest names in the alternative bracket including The Ninth Wave, SLAVES and Self Esteem, The Picture House stands unique in its style contrasting modern features alongside chandeliers, and upholstered furniture. The Ballroom stays true to its purpose leaving plenty of room for throwing shapes to the best artists.
The venue also offers homemade Italian inspired street food from ins canteen style diner and a games room with Ping-Pong. The bar offers craft beers and a cocktail menu that is revised weekly.

THE LEADMILL – SHEFFIELD
Great accessibility, close to the train station, The Leadmill is Sheffield’s oldest running live music and nightclub, first opening its doors in 1980. Without a doubt they have hosted some of the most iconic acts, such as Sheffield’s very own Arctic Monkeys, Reverend & The Makers, Bring Me The Horizon and indie royalty Oasis. The Leadmill, despite its name, was originally a flour mill and is made up of two main live music rooms, the main area 900 in capacity, with the smaller room around 250 capacity.
The Leadmill offers all the usual drinks you would expect from a live music venue including the all famous Red Stripe, as featured on their Leadmill merchandise.

THE WARDROBE – LEEDS
In the centre of the Leeds art quarter, The Wardrobe definitely stands out as one of Leeds’s best live music venues. The venue has been open since 1999, hosting some of the best-loved artists today such as Catfish and The Bottlemen, George Ezra and the late Amy Winehouse, even expanding its variety with DJ nights from artists such as Trevor Nelson and Craig Charles. The venue has two floors with a basement gig venue, holding 450 people.
They serve a range of cocktails, gins and craft beers.
